Mary Lou Hudman is the owner/broker of A Benefit Source and John Paul Hudman has joined the agency as a partner, has his life and health license and has trained extensively for a year now. A Benefit Source acts as Independent Agent/Consultant for employers throughout Texas, serving numerous Medicare-eligible clients, individuals, and employer groups. Mary Lou is a Certified Senior Advisor, which is a prestigious certification in the senior market. Mary Lou and John Paul represent all of the top-rated insurance carriers in Texas, both, of course, certified to sell Medicare products and also offering group employee benefits (health, dental, life, disability, 401(k), and supplemental cancer, accident, hospital, and chronic illness plans), individual health, dental, life, and disability plans, Medicare products, long term care plans, and freshbenies (Telehealth, Health Advisor, Bill Saver, and Discounts for Dental, Vision, and Rx). Applicable Experience

Mary Lou Hudman has twenty-five (25) years of insurance sales and consulting experience. Mary Lou and John Paul are both members of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Texas Association of Health Underwriters, and Dallas Association of Health Underwriters. Mary Lou has been on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters for several years, President of the then-400-member Dallas Chapter in 2005-06, and is now a Board Trustee. She served for four years as the Membership or Retention Chair for the Texas Association of Health Underwriters; has served four years on the National Association of Health Underwriters’ Region VI Board in the capacity of Membership and Retention Chair for the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Arkansas and won the highest national award by winning the Membership Cup (national championship)in 2008; National Membership Vice-Chair; and served on the NAHU Board of Trustees as National Membership Chair in 2006-2007. In 2005, she was named Volunteer of the Year for the Texas Association of Health Underwriters and has also received the Henry Dawson Award (Underwriter of the Year) for the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters. She also won the 2018 DAHU Leadership Award. Through the 30 hours plus of Continuing Education each year and numerous industry seminars, she stays on top of what is happening in the insurance industry and is always looking for ways to help her clients with the best benefits and coverage for the dollar and now has John Paul’s energy and ideas to add to the value of the agency and ways to best serve the client.
